Bill: Liberty Electoral Program

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kundrati Liberty Movement (KLM)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3625

Description[?]:

The Kundrati Liberty Movement wishes to take a clear stance away from the ruling oligarchs. They speak of capitalist monopoly and wish to fight this with a state monopoly? Why not allow free competition and let people do as they please with their own bodies and spend the money they earn as they like?

As such we wish to offer the people of Kundrati a Liberty Electoral Program. It is founded upon liberalism, both a mixture of classical liberalism and modern/social liberalism. We seek a freer people and a competitive economy, as opposed to state Monopoly and Hegemony over the people.

MessagePlease explain how having a monopoly run by the state is not oppressive. Why not have many competing industries and allow people to work hard and succeed? Why should we be condemned to live horrible lives because of the dictatorial policies that you Totalitarians are imposing upon free people?

MessageYou almost had me, except for this - Proposed: Unless otherwise stated, consent is assumed. (organ donation)

While we believe government should do many things, it should never be in the business of mandating organ harvesting from the dead.

MessageWe do NOT support mandatory anything. Rather, it is presumed consent. Everyone is presumed to consent to donating their organs BUT they are all free to opt out for whatever reason.

This way we will not have chronic shortages of organs which is a very real cause for deaths of thousands of people every single year.

MessageThe state runs a monopoly in the best interest of the workers, while the private robber barons run a monopoly in the best interest of their profit.

MessageYou just contradicted yourself. How can there be a monopoly when there are multiple robber baronS? If there is more than one then it is by definition not a monopoly.

And no, the state runs the monopoly in the interests of the well-connected government officials who self-aggrandize themselves and live lives of luxury whilst people are forced to do things against their will and banned from owning their own business and succeeding on their own merit.
