Message | Mr. Speaker, The Democratic Party does not support the legalization of prostitution, nor making closed union shops illegal. The Democratic Party can support the other proposals if those two are removed before the vote. Jordan Eldridge, MP, Democratic Party Leader |
Date | 20:32:49, February 26, 2014 CET | From | United Party | To | Debating the Fair Shake Reforms Pt. IV |
Message | Mr Speaker - At the behest of the Democrats, the Shed Party has removed the two Bills we could have supported. What is left is not appealing. While we accept there is a need for decent salaries, as not all Members enjoy a private income, we cannot accept Article 2. Hutori needs a strong Police force. It would be more helpful all round not to tie unrelated legislation together. Sarah Scott MP, United Party leader |
