| The purpose of this bill is a further move towards fiscal responsibility. It is a doubling of the current low 10% on luxury products. This bill effects only seriously effects the wealthy and affluent in our society. We hope it is a multi-partisan proposal and a way to increase revenues without raising taxes on the majority of the population. |

| Message | Thank you! The KLM supports the majority of the people more than anything. We recognize the need for some government and would like to place the majority of the burden for paying for this on the wealthier in our society. This is precisely why those earning less than 10,000 dollars are not paying any income taxes whatsoever. It is also why there are brackets divided based upon how much you earn. The difference is we also wish to have a competitive economy which can compete with the global economy and prosper. This is why we do not support excessive tax rates of 50% or more. But to raise the luxury tax a bit and in exchange free everyone of taxes on income below ten thousand dollars seems entirely reasonable and fair to the KLM. It furthers the cause of liberty by allowing more people to have the means to succeed, as the very poor are now able to keep all of the money they earn. |
