If you're a public official, you've gotta show equal respect to all people that may use your services. Not everyone shares your religion, so by advertising it in front of everyone, you're showing that you put your religion ahead of your country, and thus your job, and are therefore pretty much a taxpayer-funded evangelist. |

Current: Wearing religious clothing or religious symbols in public is illegal.
