Bill: Refugee Admission Restriction Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Malivian Communist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3647

Description[?]:

This bill proposes a loosening of the restrictions placed upon refugees seeking admission into Malivia.

Though we have our own reasons for pushing this bill, which include a disbelief in borders and nationlism, it should be taken into consideration that this loosening of restriction would bring certain benefits to the religious communities of Malivia- It would provide opportunities for the spread of religion and greater freedom to provide refuge to adherents of religions recognised by Malivia who find themselves prosecuted by their own countries.

MessageWhile the Freedom Party understands the motivation of the MCP, we can not support such an endeavor. Malivia does not have the developed economy to support a massive immigrant population who will not add any contribution to the growth of the Malivian people and economy. In an effort to make sure native Malivians aren't eventually displaced by cheap immigrant labor and prevent this unneeded stress on the economy, we must oppose this bill as it currently stands.
