| Land mines cause death and destruction. Unfortunately, these deaths tend to be civilian deaths that happen after a war is over. Land mines are truly the 'gift that keeps on giving', and are very hard to clear from war zones once fighting has ceased. Therefore, this nation should take a stand with the peaceful population of all countries who would be harmed by land mines and ban this weapon once and for all. |
