Bill: Call for early elections, September 2051

Details

Submitted by[?]: Opinion Poll Vultures

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: September 2052

Description[?]:

Noting that the legislative body currently has a smaller number of seats then it should have, we call for early elections as soon as can be arranged to insure maximum representation of the Luthori people.

Messagewell, i'm pretty sure you could have used a slightly more insulting way to say 'hi' but i can't think of it at the moment...

oh, and just FYI: the number of seats you get depends on how much the voters like you.

the voters get a sense of where your party stands by seeing which way you vote...

and seeing as how you have not really voted for much, i'm pretty sure the voters are not going to go too heavily in your favor.

look at the two christian parties.

they joined very shortly before the election, and did not get many votes because they had not attracted voters (voting for things attracts voters who think along those lines)

so... don't expect too much here

Messageooc: actually im a...erm..colleague of the two christian parties players :D and i would've posted a greeting in the nation page but i didn't have time, had to go grocery shopping :/

ic: Our goal is not to gain seats for ourselves, we would consider 10 seats for us to be a victory, we simply have noted that there is a gap of roughly 50 seats in the congress and we believe it should be filled.

Messageit doesn't exactly make that much of a difference.

with a full legislature of nearly 600, the recently vacated tourism only held about 10%

we've dealt with larger gaps before

MessageThe AELP has a point, y'know.

Of course, we have pre-planned elections in about a year or two, so this bill would only make them come about one RL day or so.
