Bill: Kundrati Foreign Embassy Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alderdath Rabrati Konciralati Erradikati
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2164
Description[?]:
Foreign nations, no matter their beliefs, are currently able to establish embassies on Kundratian soil without obtaining approval from the Foreign Office. Certainly this is ridiculous. For all we know, nations which may be hostile to our interests just "happen" to be establishing embassies which "happen" to have excellent sight lines to some of our most critical industries, allowing them to filch crucial technologies from us without much effort. Furthermore, is it not irresponsible for us to automatically approve the sale of our precious Kundratian soil without having the nations involved contact our Foreign Ministry, which is in charge of relations with other nations? For all we know now, the responsibility for approving requests for embassies lies with a janitor of the Environmental Ministry, or nowhere at all, rather than someone skilled in the arts of diplomacy. |
