Bill: Privatbildungsgesetz, 3664

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hosianisch-Demokratisches Verbund

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3665

Description[?]:

Gicho-sama,

Though we do think that the uniformising tendency of Morgenstern-sama's latest proposals goes too far and brings to mind the word "control freak", we do think he has a point that we are too lax on private schools and have too much discretion in deciding what private schools we fund and which we do not fund. Similarly to colleague Wertmann's proposals in healthcare, the importance of education and of ensuring the quality of our education system requires that all our schools are up to scratch - keeping them out of sight of the inspection does not bring that goal any closer and, if I were a cynic, I would say that freedom might even get abused.

We Hosian Democrats have always valued the contribution of private schools, charter and religious alike, to our education system, as part of the fundamental freedom of education. We therefore propose to end the case-by-case funding and return to the old system where charter and religious schools have a right to be funded per student on the same footing per student as their public school counterparts.

Rorensu Fukuyama, MdR (HDV - Mitrania)
Deputy Leader of the HDV and Education Spokesman
