| Message | KPJP are open to adjusting the luxury tax, and would be delighted to raise the corporate tax (the ideal, revenue-maximising figure for the latter, being 58%); but we very strongly oppose any sales tax on essential goods, and so must vote against this. (If Particracy permitted such, we would be happy to consider a _negative_ sales tax on domestically-produced essential goods, subsidising them, and paying for it via revenue from the other taxes.) But nevertheless, Kirlawa's budget remains balanced at this time, so this is not needed. |
