Bill: Common Sense and Common Freedoms Act of 3673

Details

Submitted by[?]: Royal Malivian Freedom Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3674

Description[?]:

This bill is to bring some common sense to existing laws in Malivia.

- Former criminals who have proven their ability to successfully rejoin society after serving their time should be allowed to rejoin the democratic process once more.

- In the case of the mother's life being endangered, abortions should be legal. While it is tragic to lose the life of a child of God, it is better than prematurely losing two lives.

- Employees who have the right to strike should be able to do without fear of retaliation so should the government find their cause meritable.

MessageWe are becoming increasingly concerned with the leftward tilt of the Freedom Party. Article 2 may have some merit but Articles 1 and 3 are disastrous. The Conservatives oppose this bill.

Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn
