MessageThe purpose of this budget was to modernise our spending plans in light of our new tax system. As you can see, funding has been withdrawn from some of the more administrative departments and diverted into social spending and the more practical ministries (technology, policing etc.). Despite the overall spending increase, it also leaves us with a comfortable surplus of around seven billion KUN, in case we want to modify the budget at a later date without a tax hike.

Message, Hmmm... we feel that Health and Social Services, Education and Culture, and Environment and Tourism are receiving far too much in this proposal, while Defence and Justice could use more.

MessageIgnoring your predictable opposition to social spending, both Defence and Justice got increases of ten billion KUN. We feel that is sufficient.

MessageAny other comments?

Secondly, would the PE vote against this in its current form?

MessageHmmm... no, we'll support it. Might gain us a few brownie points with the rabble. Um, we mean the free people of Kundrati. Yes. Definitely. ;)

Okay. As there have been no other comments, and it's been up for a RL day, we'll move this to a vote.

MessageLOL, a budget proposal that cuts basically all funding from the finance ministry! =) =) =)

Oh, btw, I don't think budgets influence anything yet.

MessageWell, it passed... but did you have to put it to the vote right when it was New Year?

MessageIt wouldn't have mattered - had the LibDems and PE been around, it still would have passed.

Besides, I don't think you get visibility for budgetary proposals...
