Bill: Farm Size Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Party of Evil
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2165
Description[?]:
We propose to allow farms to grow naturally. Artificially keeping them below a certain limit means lowering their efficiency, which in turn has an adverse effect on production. The increase in income, both for the farmers and for the State could be considerable. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning farm size.
Old value:: Farms that grow too large are broken up and the land redistributed.
Current: Farm size regulations are determined by local governments.
Proposed: Farm size is not regulated.

Message | Supported, we agree completely with the bill description. Environmental and business laws are already so strict that continuing this practice seems to be somewhat unnecessary. |

Message | To support the small farmer, we believe. Which is why we feel it should be changed: if a farmer can't compete, it's better for the nation as a whole that he/she finds a job he/she can prosper in and leave the farming to larger and more efficient companies. |
