Message | It is wrong that someone who is guilty of gross negligence be held responsible for more than just mecial damages? In other words, if a doctor is drunk and operates on a patient and kills him, under current law his family would be eligibile for nothing more than medical costs. I am confused how this bill is just wrong. Perhaps those voting against the bill could explain. |

Message | If people could gain hundreds of thousands, or even millions of Luthorian pounds from such lawsuits, it would set a dangerous precedent, it's the thin end of the wedge, the beginning of the end, where would it end, the abolition of the monarchy? Seriously though, has anyone else noticed the lawsuit culture in the United States of America, where people would sue for no rational reason, just for the hope of getting money (ie any case on Judge Judy or similar shows), do we want to create a similar culture in Luthori? There are only three honest ways to get rich: -Be born into wealth. -Marry into wealth. -Work hard to gain wealth. |
