Bill: Religious Reform Act of 3700

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Green Party of Selucia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3701

Description[?]:

Even as a Christian party, the DGP of Selucia believes that it is everyone's right to allow many aspects of religion not to intrude on the way the government runs. There is much to debate here and some changes still yet to be made, but hopefully the conclusion of this act will mean a Selucia that is free for religious and nonreligious people.

MessageThe Tomorrow Party acknowledges that changes of religion rights will benefit the country but we disagree with two of the proposals. Article 1 and Article 4. Article 1 as we believe that blasphemy is extremely sacred so it should be more penalized than any other type of verbal discrimination. The Tomorrow Party also believes that verbal discrimination should be punishable so blasphemy is of greater urgency to keep punishable. This should not be allowed in Seluica. The Tomorrow Party disagrees with Article 4 as well because teacher led prayers should be allowed at School. Just because you choose not to go to a religious school does not mean you cannot pray. Religious schools may be too expensive for people to attend and have no other choice but to go to normal schools. Students should also be taught with a religion in their earlier years as it provides good solid moral foundations for these students. If they choose not to, it's ok but now they have inspiration to set their morality on something.
Just remember that for some people in Seluica - religion is the most important thing there is.

MessageMary? Ok then I'm getting rid of Article 1 because its current state is satisfactory.
I'm compromising Article 4 because religious freedom is also important for the people whose lives don't center around religion. Not only does religious freedom allow people to be free to believe, it also allows people to be free not to. Letting the schools decide for themselves seems the best option for a compromise, and thus, it shall be changed to such.

Are you satisfied with these changes?
