Bill: Government Spending Reform: Gun Laws
Details
Submitted by[?]: Opinion Poll Vultures
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2052
Description[?]:
We feel that the state has no right to prevent people from owning guns if they so wish. We have criminals running around with assault rifles and police running around with tazers, how do you really expect the Luthori people to stay safe?? Furthermore, by legalizing private gun ownership, less government money will be filtered into the efforts to catch people illegally buying hunting rifles and other firearms rarely used by criminals. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Ownership of guns by private individuals.
Old value:: Adult individuals may not own firearms unless professionally required.
Current: Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions.
Proposed: Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions.

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
