Bill: Repeal of Free Trade Treaty
Details
Submitted by[?]: Lutte Féministe de Libération
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2166
Description[?]:
This treaty is hurting us. We need to be able to protect our own industry, and this isn't doing that, especially since so few nations have signed on. If it were broader it would be different, but right now it's tying our hands behind our backs. |

Message | Could you further elaborate on your point? As is, we do not see any trouble at all with the Treaty of Meriath and will not support this bill. In fact, we support the Treaty of Meriath, since we fully agree with the required policies, and we support the beneficial exchange between the nations. It shows a better degree in relationship with those who signed, and how can that hurt? |

Message | The free trade requirement does not allow us to adequately support our rather pathetic industry. |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
