Message | Madam Prime Minister -- We believe that the people have become degenerate and need to be kept safe from their own addictions. Gambling ruins lives and devastates fortunes. There is no need for the state to encourage such self-destructive and productivity-reducing behaviors. Sincerely, Markus Holfield Minster of Internal Affairs and The Steel and the Gray |

Message | Gambling is by definition a hazardous thing to do. But it can be done maturely. Plus, life is never certain, some things we must be willing to lose in, and yet we do it anyway on faith. If you wish to prohibit gambling in all forms, then I submit that you prohibit life. |

Message | Madam Prime Minister -- I respectfully would like to remind the UNSC that there is a distinct difference between "risk" and "gambling." Life itself does indeed require the former, but there is no need for the state to support the latter, which is not about living life at all. No one who has gambled away their bill money and gambled himself into a poor house cannot live life in any good or productive sense of the word. I therefore ask that we ban gambling for the sake of all Rutanians. Sincerely, Markus Holfield Minister of Internal Affairs |

Message | Madam Speaker If a man feels one day that he wants to by a lotto card, he is not necessarily a degenerate who is harming himself or his family. Maturity and moderation allow this. so instead of banning gambling, restrict it, 20 and over sounds like a reasonable age. At that point they've already been able to vote for years and could have put his or her life on the line by joining the military. |

Message | Madam Prime Minister -- In light of the UNSC's contribution to this discussion, we are prepared to offer this modified version of our bill; it is our sincere hope, however, that people refrain from unwarranted practices such as these. Sincerely, The Steel and the Gray |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
