Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker and Honourable members of the government, We, the Liberale Volks Partij, propose to change the following laws to make sure that businesses can prosper and jobs can be created for young and old. We shall explain the reasoning behind them: Daily workhours shouldnt be regulated, the free market can regulate that perfectly by itself, it is economicly stupid of a business to make slaves of their employees and refusing to treat them well would lead to the downfall of the business, a company is only as good as it treats its employees afteral. The exchange rate for a currency should never be regulated, a currecy fluctuates on the bases of supply and demand, it reacts to the needs of the market and it depends on the situation of the economy, do we import much or do we export much? The government is ALWAYS incompentant and shouldnt be given the right to interfere where there are too stupid to simply understand it. The child labour law is harsh, why cant youngsters get a job next to their schooling to earn a buck? Shouldnt they be able to get working expierence and enrich themselves? Shouldnt a boy be able to work at a snackbar so that he can earn some money to take out his girl or boyfriend to the movie? I say lets regulate it more but allow it. Minimum wages only hurt those who it was meant to protect and those who benefit from it never needed it. It only makes hiring people more expensive and it causes low skilled people or people who wish to prove themselves and accept a lower salary to be cut out of a job. Let free the market from government idiocy. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, It is wise to refrain from insulting the governing body of this nation, your insults have certainly been noted by some higher figures within the cabinet who frown upon being called incompetent. Nonetheless I shall personally explain to you why these proposals are total hogwash. The first option does not mean working hours are regulated. It gives our federal states the option to regulate it if the populace votes to that. Federalization is the pride of our Crowned Republic. As for the exchange rate, we deem it extremely important to maintain the option to intervene when necessary. As for now we have never intervened but what if a crisis strikes? We allow our currency to float down the gutter? Never! Child labour is and must be forbidden, I will not tolerate toddlers manning machines just because the Liberals want to earn more money from cheap workers! And again the fruitless capitalism and greed of the Liberals clearly show itself with the last proposal, how dare you strip the proud workers of our nation of their right for a fair and honest wage? Disgusting, mr. Speaker! I yield the floor and submit a full nay from the Federal Party. Johannes Boonsma Parliamentary Speaker of the Federal Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We did not wish to offend the government, we werent speaking of specificly those who hold office, we couldnt manage the economy better or worse. Governments are always incompentent when it comes to economy, this is the core principle of our ideology, we beg your pardon if we offended the government or its honourable members. We disagree with federalisation, we should be united and strong. Intervention only leads to making things worse, the economy solves everything itself through the use of the invisable hand. Dear sir, toddlers will not be part of this law, we want teens to be able to work, which you banned because of your social democratic elitism! Mr. speaker, look at their sorry lack of faith in the markets, how would a worker be productive if he isnt rewarded well, in a modern economy the state should let the wages flow and be decided by the market itself! But ofcourse the Federal Party doesnt wish to offer the lower incomes nor the unskilled workers the option of finding work! We, the Liberals stand by our motion and are deeply saddend by the socialist behaviorism of the Majority party. Hendrik Verhoeven Representative for the Liberal People's Party |
