Bill: Mail for All Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Centrist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3730

Description[?]:

While we in general support the free market, when it comes to infrastructure we realize the risk that private companies may be unwilling to operate in more remote areas that are unprofitable for them. Therefore, we suggest the creation of a National Postal Service intended to ensure postal access for all residents regardless of where they live, as a complement to the private alternatives that already exist.

MessageEven with the new budget we will have a deficit (If my proposal is not taken up) . Right now it's not feasible although I do agree with the concept of a universal public post service. Perhaps looking into it in the future.

MessageDue to the desire of the AFP to increase taxes we might as well spend it on something useful instead of subsidising private corporations failure.

Therefore i'm changing my vote to an Aye.

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.

Random quote: "The liberal state is a mask behind which there is no face; it is a scaffolding behind which there is no building." - Benito Mussolini
