Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

The current stance on personal freedoms regarding our people's lives is irresponsible. We fully support abortion - but not all through the pregnancy period. We won't do any physical harm to the fetus, which it actually can feel - we simply won't risk it. We therefor propose a legislation, which only allows abortion until the end of the first trimester. This also prevents people from getting an abortion due to the child's gender, which is an absolutely terrible thing.
We would also like to give people the right to live and die as they please. It is after all their lives - not ours. We do therefor suggest the legalization euthanasia, which will make it a lot easier for especially deadly sick people.

MessageMr Speaker,

We shall abstain on this, for while the abortion policy proposed here equals to ours, our consciousnesses cannot vote for legalizing euthanasia.

We support the right to choose during the first trimester even though it is a violent act, since the alternative is usually an illegal abortion. We want to prevent abortions by making them unnecessary. However - we see no similar reason to support euthanasia. The health care system should strive to save lives as long as it can, not the other way around.

Miriam Kvarling,
General Secretary, Hosianskdemokratisk Høyre
