Description[?]:
Our restored budget http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=418443 http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=418444 is good, and we do have a surplus; but it's very minimal, and month-to-month fluctuations might risk dropping it into occasional deficit. A little more revenue, to shore up our surplus, can be gained via the corporate tax. 58% is the revenue-maximising rate for the corporate tax -- any other rate, whether higher or lower than 58%, brings in less revenue -- so that's why KPJP prefer this specific figure which might look unusual at first glance. (It's actually closer to 57,735%, but in Particracy fractions of a percent aren't permitted, and 58% collects more revenue than 57% does.) |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
