Message | Mr. Neutras Consul, The Tomorrow Party will vote against this bill. There are other alternatives to help those drastically affected by empowering medical conditions. Take medical marijuana for instance. What you have to take in account is, that at the end of the day, a person dies and we all know that we cannot revert death. What we think may be incurable may be curable the next day. Tomorrow will always bring hope. The Tomorrow Party will not defy the human spirit. Technology is rapidly expanding and it will only come down to patience. Richard Stark Spokesperson for Justice The Tomorrow Party |

Message | We disagree with the Tomorrow Party's sentiments, Mr. Consul. If there are viable alternatives that could tremendously ease a person's pain, he/she will not be in favour of euthanasia. This option is reserved for those who could not take it any longer. Mr. Consul, how long will it be until the next medical breakthrough comes about? Even when a new medicine or cure is invented in the next decade, it will take far more years getting it to the market with tedious testing and regulations to ensure its safety by authorities worldwide. People who suffer incalculable amounts of pain simply could not wait that long for a cure or treatment. It is best that they could choose to end their lives in peace, if they so wish, then to endure fruitless more years stricken in a bed or condemned to agony. |

Message | Mr. Neutras Consul, Maybe the person has not heard of an alternative that suits them? There are many alternatives and bound to be one for the people in pain. The Liberal Conservatives mention of people who cannot take it any longer but this is because they have not seen the alternatives. Give the people the alternatives. This will help their pain. At some stage we will reach a medical breakthrough, we are on it's grasp. Yes, there may be more testing and regulating but in the meantime, it doesn't matter how long as long it is safe. In the meanwhile, the alternatives are again a safe option. However, even though we may be almost there with a breakthrough, I can confidently say that there is no such thing as incalculable amounts of pain. Our doctors and our medical knowledge can detect the problem to it's source in the leg, arm e.t.c. We may not have the cure but we know the source and the alternatives can target that source. This Government will not support suicide. Once you're dead, there's no going back. Never, Mr. Neutras Consul. It would not look good, if a cure was found just after one's death. How could you respond to that? Anyway, even if Euthanasia was made legal, there is no ethical way to execute a human being. Richard Stark Minister of Justice |
