Bill: Anarch Anakrousite Shatter Reform Bill - Convocation (iii)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Commonwealth Workers Army
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2166
Description[?]:
Since the poor showing last time this measure was introduced, the AAS is bringing it back before the Senate... hopefully for slightly more enthusiasm, one way or another: The Anarch Anakrousite Shatter wishes to suggest (again) changing the name of the Senate, to something more 'unique' on the world stage. Suggestion: The Anarch Anakrousite Shatter suggests "Convocation". Convocation: a group of people formally assembled for a special purpose Above all, the AAS would like to see Likatonia as UNIQUE and special. |

Message | As previously.... In the interest of greater RP 'texture'... if someone has no specific objection to changing the name to Convocation... why not support it? |

Message | Although diametrically opposed to the AAS on many issues, the PSS will support this measure and encourages other parties to do the same. |

Message | The AAS offers our thanks. We are a little tired of the impersonal and pre-packaged feel of the name "Senate"... especially when so many nations seem to have 'senates' regardless of their internal politics. It has become somwhat meaningless, so it is a compound of irrelevence, and duplication. :( |

Message | PSS is sadenned to see this bill defeated by such a narrow margin. We would encourage the AAS to reintroduce this legislation after the next election. If the AAS does not wish to do so, the PSS will consider introducing this proposal itself - but only after consultation with the AAS. |

Message | The AAS is gratified by the PSS sympathies... and by their enthusiasm for this measure. The AAS does intend to re-introduce, if we can garner just a few more votes of support. Partly, we are waiting to see if the PCP has retired from Likatonian politics, perhaps. That might shake up the voter distribution in our lovely land. |

Message | The AAS would like to extend thanks to the Progressive Party, the PSS and the Justice and Liberty Party for their support of this measure... designed to give some 'soul' to our brave little nation. You have the thanks of the AAS. |
