MessageMr. Speaker,

This proposal has been made without the Presidium being told the predicted change in revenue and whether we can still maintain a balanced budget.

MessageMr. Speaker,

All other things being equal, we would expect this reduction to leave Lodamun with a very small and affordable deficit. The relief granted to our economy, however, would be immense.

MessageMr. Speaker,

in order not to destabilize the nation, we always like a budget proposal with such tax changes.
We cannot accept such a change.

MessageMr. Speaker,

A corporation tax of 50% doesn't just hurt the "bourgeoisie". It is destroying jobs and enterprise in our economy, harming the interests of all of us.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We think the 50% taxation is indeed to high, yet we do not see why we should lower it 15% in one legislation? This would hurt the balance budget and that could lead towards worried international financiers. We would like to see from the CMA a real plan on how to balance the budget and lower the tax rate to 15%. We would gladly join our heads together with the CMA and other interested parties to reevaluate the taxes in this country.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Even with the tax reduction proposed here, the budget would remain effectively "balanced" in the sense that the deficit would be extremely small. Nevertheless, we remain open to co-operating with the CDP and other parties in order to reform our tax system in a way that benefits our citizens and our economy.
