Bill: Cabinet Proposal of June 3747

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Workers Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3748

Description[?]:

Since the Central Democratic Party is insisting on receiving a disproportionate number of seats in the Cabinet compared to its seats in the legislature, the DWP proposes a proportional and progressive Cabinet to lead Tukarali.

MessageLol, ya should have wrote " since the Central Democratic Party haven't give any importance to us, we want to make a cabinet where we have something to do :("

Well, I advise ya not to cry, because when I entered this game and I had no influence ove the National, I started to make purposes and gaining the People's support, and well, here I am with twice seats as ya.

So stop crying and go make a difference in the Country, cuz I did, and now I am The biggest party in number of seats, not because I started to cry for space in other parties government, but because I fought for that.

Go make a name for yourself, then, I may give ya the Environment and Tourism responsibilities or whatever

MessageOOC: Well, the DWP has a point. The CDP's own cabinet proposal would give 8 of 13 cabinet posts to the CDP, while the Aikokusha, with only 2 seats less in the National Assembly, would have to be content with 3. A distrubution of Cabinet seats like that would be grossly disproportional to the results of the last election. And the CDP made clear that they insist on such a disproportionate number of seats in Cabinet by voting against the so-called Progressive Coalition Government Proposal, which had a far more balanced distribution.

MessageWhich means that the our Party which had more chairs in the elections can't decide who to put in its own government? well, I think that DWP should stay easy and work on some purposes to get more chairs in the next election, so they won't need to cry for space in the opposition's side, as they're doing now. They always voted against my purposes, so nothing more nonsense as it would be to bring them to my Government.

This Cabinets purpose is nonsense.

MessageOOC: Have you understood anything of what was written above? The DWP has not asked you to be included in your government proposal, and no one denies you the right to choose who you want to work with. But if you make a proposal with an extremely disproportionate distribution of cabinet seats and vote against another proposal which includes the same parties, but is far more proportional, you can't really be surprised that the DWP seize the opportunity and make another, proportional, proposal which excludes you. And there is no necesssity to include the largest party in any cabinet.
