Bill: Size of the Stortinget

Details

Submitted by[?]: Sammen

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3748

Description[?]:

This bill aims to set a size of the Stortinget appropriate to the population of Kazulia. We propose our value from the cubic-root rule: parliaments approximate to the cube root of the population.

The cube root of 99.8 million is about 464. We propose a size of 465 members, to avoid a situation where opposing political forces could have an equal share of seats in the Stortinget.

Random fact: The majority of nations in Particracy are "Culturally Protected" with an established cultural background. Only the "Culturally Open" nations are not bound by the rules surrounding culture. The Cultural Protocols Index should be consulted for more information about the cultural situation of each nation.
