Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Labor Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3750
Description[?]:
The Democratic Labor Party first and foremost acknowledges and respects the sanctity of all human life from conception until the time of natural death. It is upon that basis that we, today, stand in firm opposition to the Empire's current policy of not only allowing but also condoning the use of physical punishment until the point mutilation. We cannot, within the vein of reason, justify such a position. We find it to be wholly incompatible with our respect for the sanctity of human life as well as the ideal of any civilized society. It is for this reason also that we rise today to stand in opposition to our current policy on torture. We understand and affirm the need for a police to enforce our nations' laws. We also understand affirm the police's need at certain times for firearms to carry out that duty and responsibility. We do, however, object profusely to their need for military grade weapons for the carrying out of their duty. |
