Mr. Neutras Consul,

The Government has promised to decrease the amount of Selucians in poverty. A minimum wage at a current levels has deterred employers from employing individuals. By decreasing the wage, there will be more employment solutions which will decrease Inequality as this government believes that employment will do that. More work will mean less are reliant on benefits, so the government can invest into more employment options and get more out of poverty. The able bodied must work and in doing so will help their current economic situation.

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.
