Bill: Economic Reform (1)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pragmatic Coalition of Conservatives

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3758

Description[?]:

We demand a tax reform. Our tax system is bogus. A 90% income tax on the highest tax bracket is stupid! We demand budget cuts in the "Heath and Social Service" category and redoing the income tax. We want a less progressive income tax.

MessageStrongly opposed.

Progressive tax incomes reduce inequality and, while we agree that 90% income tax may be overwhelming, the services provided by our government are universal and of exceptional standard.

We're ashamed of such conservative setback in our society.

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
