Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: May 3759
Description[?]:
Whilst it is accepted that discrimination against any individual is deplorable and should not be accepted in any area of the economy or society, it is also accepted that the introduction of laws actively introducing or hindering the use of such policies is a breach of individual freedom. To this aim, upon passing this Bill it will be written into Hobrazian Legislation that the Government will not interfere in the hiring policies of individuals or companies, either to the effect of increasing or decreasing "positive" discrimination. Upon the passing of this legislation, whilst it will not be the Governments policy to directly interfere with business or individual hiring policies, should individuals feel discriminated against by company hiring policies then they may continue to take said companies to tribunal. However, it will be for said tribunal to make decisions based on whether said hiring policy is of such discriminatory nature as to effect regulation or censure of said company or area of industry. |
