Bill: Patrol vessel namegiving resolution

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand Nationalist Fraction

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3766

Description[?]:

At this moment, MIL is constructing brand new patrol vessels for the MIC. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has ordered 5 vessels with an option for 5 more.
The hullnumbers assigned would be P190 to P194 for the first 5 vessels.
We would like to ask the Presidium to agree on naming the vessels.
A suggestion by my department is on naming the first five vessels after the 5 provinces or their capitals.

Minister of Internal Affairs

MessageMr. Speaker,

while the ships are constructed at MIL, they will be used for protecting our EEZ and to be implemented in search and rescue tasks. They will be used for maintaining national law within our EEZ and support police and customs. They will also be used for locating pollution and fight it. We can hardly speak of war tools here. This is protecting our nation. Also, the MIC has no bands whatsoever with the military and falls under Internal Affairs. Anyways, the order has been placed, this resolution is about the namegiving.
