| Message | Mr. Speaker, Thank you for inviting me into this conversation, Mr. Kingsley. I was raised in a house where pride and faith was placed in Lodamun, not in any religious belief or god. So, I do have a bit of disdain for religious persons that are not Lodamese Nationalists. That said, it has become abundantly clear that Lodamun's Presidium do wish to have a greater span of freedom for people of faith. My proposal is that we allow any religious worship to happen in private spaces. This is the best way to cause the least offense to the most people. The Hosians in Lodamun have been notorious for getting aggressive and trying to convert the rest of the country to their ways by force. I find this quite uncivilized. It shall be an affair between the person and their god. Should they have one, I know that their are some religions that are based more on moral values and communities than anything else. As for cults, the HLF most assuredly is one. | Message | Mr. Speaker, It is comparatively progressive, but it's not what we want in Lodamun. Progressive Hosianism is still Hosianism. Moderate evil is still evil. Friendly imperialists are still imperialists. Hosianism is a religion which teaches that there is a "god" above the people and the state. This leads individuals to do crazy things which aren't in the interest of the people or the state, and they use the "right to religion" as justification for the crazy things they do. Hosianism also fits well with monarchy. In Hosianism, the good Hosians live their afterlife in a place ruled by their "god" as the unconditional leader. Hosians tend to aim for similar political systems in the real world, like we saw with the Conservative Monarchist Alliance.
