MessageMr. Speaker,

We have an established political system that is respected by the current, legitimate political parties of Vorona. It is a disgrace for the Vorona Republican Party to enter the legislature with such a haughty attitude. They should respect the political system and should've allowed for debate to ensure that matters can be properly spoken of and debated. The Conservative Party will vote no regardless of the issue at hand because this kind of attitude will not stand. I hope the Libertarian Party will vote no as well to ensure the stability of our political system and mutual respect of the parties in Vorona.

MessageMr. Speaker,

My Party will vote no this time, but this does not mean that we do not support a parliamentary enlargement after next elections. We are currently in coalition with the VCP, and we respect their stance on this.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We are a nation of nearly 40 million. 99 seats is sufficient. This only means that each district consists of roughly 400,00 voters, a very suitable amount. The seats also help with knowing certain numbers, such as the number of seats required to hold a majority and the number of seats equal to 2/3. With 99 seats, the majority is 50 and 2/3 is 66 seats. Please view this diagram: http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20141204004950/particracy/images/5/50/Voronan_Parliament.png. 99 seats is more than you think.

OOC: There's no point to larger seats. If a party has 50 seats and another has 49 seats, legislation gets passed or rejected in the same way that 450 seats and 300 seats would do. Also, fewer seats allows for much more detailed and concentrated role play.

MessageMr Speaker,

The VLNP will abstain from this vote, as it has no significant impact, in our opinion, on how representation is counted.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
