Bill: Budget proposal of September 2166

Details

Submitted by[?]: New Daio Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2167

Description[?]:

Welcome to the new budget. I did my best to make everyone that had concerns happy.

Current budget = (Z)465 billion. This budget leaves approximately a 5 billion surplus. I reccomend cutting various taxes to take advantage of this surplus that will further stimulate the economy.

A goods tax cut, however, will require more than a 5 billion surplus (even 1% off either).

As Finance minister, I'm always available to address any concerns or questions about our monetary state of affairs you may have. My doors are open.

MessageDetails for the changes can be found in the budget debate, which will remain available until Saturday night. Wonderfully, we've had the common sense to do away with most welfare programs, so almost all the funding to Health and Social is going to Health. IA is down, Tech is up, Education is up.

Priorities for increases on the next budget are again Science, Health, Agriculture, and Trade. Next budget at income > (Z)475 billion.

On the plus, our economic growth is up slightly since the tax cut.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
