Message | Our party is in support of this measure. |
Date | 19:54:26, January 09, 2015 CET | From | National Republican Front | To | Debating the Government Bill: Religion I |
Message | The National Republican Front believes strongly in the current legal ability for the State to prosecute dangerous members of 'cults'. They are organizations that not only threaten their members but undermine the stability of the Nation, and are naturally to be dealt with by instruments of the State. Current policy provides for no official designation creating a privileged religious group and also regulates religions that could otherwise destabilize the social situation of our people by giving the government (elected by the people) the power recognize their status. Our government's responsibility is to the general welfare of the nation; this change in policy would reduce our power to act in accordance with this mission. The NRF will vote against this bill. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
