Bill: Common Maritime Borders
Details
Submitted by[?]: Opinion Poll Vultures
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2054
Description[?]:
The Kundrati Union has proposed an establishment of Common Maritime borders between our nation, theirs, and the nation of Endralon. For the time being we see nothing wrong with these borders...but of course...that is only for the time being. So for now, we think it would be prudent and civilized if we recognized such an establishment. But let us naturally reserve our right to void this agreement in the future if it is no longer beneficial... http://img175.echo.cx/img175/7527/oceantreaty8es.jpg |

Message | it seems the fairest for all three nations. any other way would leave the kundrati union with no route to international waters, and forcing them to trespass on our waters every time they needed to get somewhere. letting them have a route to open waters will drastically reduce the international tension that would have been caused every time they launch a ship. i'm fine with it. |

Message | True, but now our nation is the one getting stuck between neighbors. With this proposal we are force to get close to tresspassing Hobrazian waters, or do we see it wrong? |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
Random quote: Henceforth, the current system of first and second class stamps, where the rich can pay to have their mail delivered faster than the poor, shall be BANNED. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office! There must be the SAME class of mail service FOR ALL! ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
