Message | I would like to hear from our finance minister on that Mr. President. He seems to say we have a surplus. But what he thinks is the way I will vote. |

Message | Ok, basic principle of econ: surplus doesnt last long if there's nothing to bring the surplus in. I'm in favor of reducing taxes on non essential goods, placing more on corporations etc. (Just look at my party name for crying out loud) but the nation has to have a stable econ, enough jobs to go around, and everything else before drastic change occurs. |

Message | I don't even need to do the numbers to tell you offhand that this will put us drastically into debt. But, here's the numbers: Article 1: Current Income: 5 billion Estimated income: 13 billion Estimated growth impact: - 3-6% (current rate of growth is 9%) Article 2: Current Income: 169 billion Estimated income: 101 billion Estimated growth impact: <+1% Article 3: Current Income: 281 billion Estimated Income: 135 billion Estimated growth impact: +2-3% Total Impact of the proposed bill: Budget: -222 billion (238 billion, reduction of approximately 51%) Growth rate: -1% to -4% Based on the available information, as Minister of Finance, I cannot reccomend this bill. |

Message | Generally speaking, Article 2 and 3 are consistant with what I'd like to do, but I believe that such large drops to government income are far too drastic under the circumstances. However, if it would be preferred by the other parties, I may be able to make an arrangement that could be of eventual benefit. |
