Message | Mr. Speaker. We might as well not have a department of defence. Let the innocent civilians be killed by rougues and terrorists. This government has no back up plan. Raven Valentinn Leader of the DRP |
Date | 20:48:03, February 27, 2015 CET | From | Grand Nationalist Fraction | To | Debating the Banning land mines |
Message | Mr. Speaker, we agree that there must be some regulations on the use of landmines. We also believe that we could do without landmines. On the other hand, Mr. Valentinn has a point. This government is getting rid of all of our defensive measures. We'll have to take this under consideration. We would like to know what the military strategy is getting to. Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn |
