Bill: Forest Protection Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Green Party (FGP)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3812
Description[?]:
It is a vital public interest to maintain our forests. Forests provide a home for a diverse ecosystem. If we continue to deplete our national resources uncontrollably then it is only a matter of time before we run out of them. Logging is an important industry, but it is equally important to assure that logging takes place in a responsible manner. Companies should be free to log forests with licenses if they replant at replacement levels. This way we can assure that our forests, as well as our logging industry, continues to thrive well into the future! |
