Bill: Industrial Hemp Localization Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Green Party (FGP)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 3813
Description[?]:
The Reform Option strongly supports the growing of industrial hemp for a number of purposes. We also believe that local government should be able to craft regulations on the legal production of Hemp within their jurisdiction. The national government should remain out of the matter as it currently is. But it is reasonable to go further than this and say that the national government should also not interfere if state or local governments wish to implement regulations, such as licensing, on the production of Industrial Hemp. Let's allow states and local governments to decide on this issue as they see fit. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Policy concerning industrial hemp.
Old value:: There are no regulations on industrial hemp.
Current: Only regulated agribusinesses may produce industrial hemp.
Proposed: Industrial hemp regulations are left up to local governments.

Message | Agreed, Hemp has a lot of great uses for sure. This bill would assure that Hemp still remains legal across the country, it simply would allow local and state governments to make regulations regarding the production, cultivation, and sale of Hemp. For example let's say a state has so much Hemp growing that it actually destroys a lot of forests in the process. This state could then decide to limit Hemp production within its borders by requiring licenses or other regulations. Hope this clears things up! -Sarah Cordery, Head Speaker of the Reform Option Council |

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law. |
