Bill: Educational Reform Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Green Party (FGP)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3814
Description[?]:
The Reform Option views educational standards as paramount for the success of a nation. If we do not monitor and hold religious schools to the same standards then we will see a significant disadvantage in our society. There will be a shortage of highly educated individuals and we will see scientific advancements suffer. It is a primary duty of the government to assure that children are getting a good education no matter which school they are going to. Let's not let superstitions block the ability of the children of Solentia from getting a good education! |

Message | Why do religious schools need to be strictly regulated? |
Date | 21:57:22, March 11, 2015 CET | From | Federal Green Party (FGP) | To | Debating the Educational Reform Act |
Message | All schools need to be strictly regulated. Imagine if you are going to a school that teaches proven falsehoods. What if you were taught that the Earth is only a few thousand years old? It is vital to have our children learn actual facts and science in schools. Would you want to be forced to go to a school where you are taught patently false things as if it were fact? All students deserve access to a good education. |

Message | We know where the search for 'proven falsehoods' leads. First it begins with rejecting one Creationist theory and replacing it with evolution. Then it pulls the soul down into the mud, because as all we all 'know,' our 'souls' are nothing more than chemical reactions in our brains. Lastly, it dethrones the largest 'proven falsehood' of them all, God. And at the end of this, we wonder why the ROP just doesn't recommend doing away altogether with religious schools. |

Message | Religious schools are fine. The only thing we ask is that you learn about science in science classes. Regardless of which school you are attending. You can still have religious classes where you can learn about God and pray and anything else. The two are entirely mutually exclusive. |
