The Choice Party last time proposed a bill offering fair changes on the education system that would help Dolgaria become a fairer place. However the parties decided against the proposals. MessageWe here at arch believe its important that people have the freedom to learn at home, and that they not have to attend school to get an education.

MessageChoice seconds that. Children may just simply not be able to come to school, whether that be due to disability or intimidation from peers. Choice also believes it is absolutely essential to lower the age of compulsory education from 18 to 16, most pupils learn enough to function in the world at 16, why impose an additional two years? Plus a lot of young people will also go onto colleges anyway.

MessageWe would be in favor of changing the homeschooling laws, but regulation would be required to keep them balanced with the rest of the education system. We would be in favor of lowering the compulsory age as well.

However, we believe the national anthem guidelines and the allowance of regulated religious schools are fine as-is. Dolgaria does not have a state religion but treats religions (or the lack thereof) equally, giving any belief the rights to operate schools as long as they adhere to a national curriculum. We have seen no evidence as of yet that this is a detriment to education here.

MessageAgreed, and yes, the age at 18 in our opinion is too high.

Here at Choice though we don't think children should have to show respect when the national anthem is played, they may not have respect for the country and they shouldn't be made to have it. As with faith schools, we believe they should be outlawed for moral reasons. Despite the fact it is good to treat all religions and beliefs equally, we strongly disagree with faith schools because faith schools although they do not prohibit education do "push views" onto children. IRL I went to a faith primary and middle school and lets just say people were not overly happy about it. In primary school it was okay but in the middle school there was this girl who had an alternative religion but was made to sit in the assembly's anyway, her mother actually attacked the school headmaster due to it.

Here at Choice we believe that religion should be utterly separate from education and children should be encouraged to hold their own views instead of encouraged to have one view or the other depending on which school they go to.

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play.
