Message | Mr. Speaker, What a misleading title for a bill! It claims to promote freedom of assembly, but instead paves the way for protests to be broken up for no reason. Are you deliberately trying to mislead the people with this title? This is an assault on free assembly, which is a fundamental tenant of any healthy democracy. We vehemently oppose this bill and urge other parties to do the same! Amanda Greentree FJS Chair |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The bill's title does not claim to promote freedom of assembly. It does not say that citizens have a right to assemble; it says that it is addressing the issue of the right to assemble, and declaring a stance on whether that right exists or not. -- Andre Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG, Minister of Trade/Industry, Vice President of Lodamun |
