Bill: More substance, less fluff.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Luthori Green Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2170

Description[?]:

Due to a recent influx of bills that have only one or two articles, I propose we alter the legislation so that future bills have more substance and less fluff. Do we actually want to know what certain politicians get up to in their spare time?

MessageNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Only way for a new party to get seats early on because established parties don't propose many bills.

MessageYes, but you could consolidate your bills, put five articles in one bill, instead of one. It is hard to vote for twenty bills, when they each contain the same amount of articles as four or five of ours.

In anycase, you have good visibility.

Messagewasn't concerned about me as much as new parties that join, and 10 isn't the number of bills you can propose but the number or articles,

i propose them individually because the multi ones never gain consensus

MessageI think it's the overall proposal quota we need to reduce. The one that is currently set at 40.

MessageTry 20, or even 10. Reducing our current workload by 25% just isn't enough (but I purpose it's a start).

MessageHow would not having to constantly log on to vote in ANOTHER dozen NPH bills increase our workload?

MessageDecrease the maximum number of proposals you can store, and people will have to propose more bills to not waste their proposals.

MessageNo, you're trying to fiddle the game mechanics by forcing the rest of us to vote against bills containing articles we agree with or by becoming inactive because we can't keep up!

MessageSounds to me like you are a conspiracy nut. I was just proposing bills to define my beliefs. Like now I propose bills to reform Luthori. As for keeping up, it isn't that hard to log on to vote. No one else is complaining.
