Message | The AAS opposes on two grounds. First - we oppose putting a whole nation at the mecy of the caprices of independent businesses, Second - we oppose the idea of allowing any major or vital industry to operate without regulation... and, the more vital the product, the more essential the regulation. |

Message | The more vital the product, the more essential government doesn't interfere. |

Message | And, if our 'private' energy company should decide that a foreign power offers better money to STOP producing energy? Some services MUST be regulated. Some services are best left under direct supervision. |

Message | To the AAS : "And, if our 'private' energy company should decide that a foreign power offers better money to STOP producing energy?" If it is viable, another company will happily step in and make a profit. Capitalists will always sense where there is money to be made filling a gap. |

Message | Response to the PSS: The PSS is, perhaps, more trusting than the AAS... we are, perhaps, overly cautious and suspicious... however, if we WERE to lose our energy interests to another foreign power, the AAS can see that it might take quite some time for a new energy producer to step in to the other companies shows... especially since energy networks have specific 'high tension' areas where energy can be fed into the system, and these COULD be monopolised by our 'renegade' company. And, this is all BEFORE we even start to think about risks of sabotage. |
