Description[?]:
"First off, we don't think we need a retirement age. People should work until they want to stop. We do have a retirement age, and therefore, we should raise it. People live a long time. Why should public pensions kick in so early? In fact, public pensions are voluntary, and therefore, we don't even need a retirement age. Whatever." ~Ted Johnson, Head Chairman of the LPS and Prime Minister |

Message | People are still free pursue work beyond their retirement age if they want, Ted. That isn't the point of a retirement age. But... 'whatever.' |

Message | 60 seems like a reasonable time to have pensions kick in. And currently you could continue to work if you like. But, in the same token, if you choose not to work anymore (perhaps due to health conditions caused by your age) then you could still survive thanks to a public or private pension plan (or a combination of the two). Productivity goes down exponentially the older people get after about the age of 60. I do agree that people should be free to keep working if they like but they can do so regardless of what the retirement age is. The only difference is they would have to work if this proposal is passed. Another issue, many companies do not want to hire older folks. So if you lose your job at 65, for example, then you will have a hell of a time trying to find another place to work at. Mostly because companies don't want to invest their resources in a very old worker who will retire soon anyways. As far as abortions, we support current laws that allow state and local governments to fund abortions and set abortion policies. |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
