Description[?]:
We will not be able to build a more stable and more prosperous society unless we get back to the true understanding of marriage. Marriage works. People who are in stable marriages are happier, work harder, live longer and do a better job at raising children. The breakdown in traditional family life is a prime cause of all our social ills. Message | Mr Speaker, marriage has its benefits for society indeed, and that's exactly why we should not restrict it to heterosexual couples. We also oppose the proposal to harshly restrict the legality of divorce, recognizing that marriages who would no longer exist without governmental coercion have already failed.
