Bill: Unionist-Septembrist Coalition (Yang Cabinet)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3835

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

the people's voice has been heard in the election, louder than at any point for a long time, as the high turnout proves. The election has shown that despite constant misrepresentation and demagoguery originating from its opponents, the values of liberal democracy and multiculturalism command considerable support among the public of Dankuk, even though it would be premature to already proclaim victory on their behalf. In any case, a majority of voters have endorsed parties standing up for a vision of ethnic harmony and peaceful co-existence, not narrow-minded nationalism and exclusionary particularism - therefore, we consider a Unionist-Septembrist alliance the logical consequence of the election result, and therefore propose an according coalition to the Assembly.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I congratulate Mr. Yang on successfully vanquishing Eduardo from power, and I wish him luck for the next 4 years, because he will need it. One hopes that, unlike his predecessor, he will govern for the whole country, and not just for the ethnic minorities and the politically correct left wing intellectual elitists.

MessageMr Speaker,

the Unionist doctrine proscribes that we govern for the whole country, that is to say, for every individual, regardless of race, regardless of class. Everyone shall receive the freedom and dignity before the law that nature has assigned to every human being equally. That is what we will always keep in mind while in government, and I look forward to working together with Mr Ryu to realize it in government, but also invite the opposition to assist us in our task of building a better Dankuk for all.

MessageUijangnim-ssi,

I understand Jinji-ssi and myself are now on first-name terms. That is a most gratifying sign of appreciation for a former Convenor who is now merely a deputy. I am sure my honourable colleague will be most reassured by my return to government alongside Yang Sung-nam, and I look forward to our future friendly exchanges in this Assembly.

I trust that now he's on record with his newfound passion of governing for the whole, Jinji-ssi will be more accommodating of our Draddwyr and Draniano friends in this Assembly - though I would like to go on record and refer all those who still like to say I did nothing against radical nationalists from the Draddwyr community to the records of the last Assembly's debate on abortions, which I believe Jinji-ssi himself attended.

MessageMr Siaradwr,

The Party of Hope comes out in opposition of this government. The election results were clearly against the statist and Kyo-centric establishment of the septembrists. We would have been more than wiling to seek compromise with the unionists to see the spirit of this election represented.
