MessageThis is totally unacceptable. Our nation's rewards must be based solely on merit and merit alone. We cannot sacrifice productivity and competency.

MessageDoes the NRP think that the fact that minorities are under-represented in our country's major institutions are a sign that they are inferior? That minorities are not as meritorious as others? If that is the position then we do not believe that the NRP is committed to ensuring equality.

MessageWe think nothing of the sort! We believe that each person has the right to be judged by his/her merits as an individual, not as a representative of their various minority groups! Also, show me your data that minorities are underrepresented in Telamon. Where could I find such statistics? The only sign that this government could give that would call minorities "inferior" would be to tell them that government coercion is the only way to secure work. We are committed to equality - and the first and most important step towards equality is to simply treat human beings equally, to judge them by the content of their characters, not by the color of their skin.

MessageFor as long as this parliament has existed we have been told that everyone is to be judged on merit. But the NRP's idea of 'merit' fails to take into account the poorer life chances and discrimination than under-represented minorities face. The people that they represent - the Telamonese Orthodox Church members who own businesses making nuclear and biological weapons - are doing well under the current system, so they think that everyone must have just the same chance to succeed. The TRP recognise that this is not the case - those minorities that are under-represented as a result of discrimination should be given a fair opportunity at government jobs. Positive discrimination evens the playing field.

MessageWe recognize that there is no way to 100% even the playing field. There is no scientific wage to calculate in life circumstances, disadvantage, discrimination and come out with an equation that perfectly solves these issues with regard to employment. If we must err on one side, we choose to err on the side that maximizes the capabilities and strength of our nation. That means merit and competency are the only factors. And, by the way, the NRP's message of economic prosperity and Telamonian nationalism has made our base electorate a very diverse one. Our message is unifying, yours is divisive.

MessageThe only reason that the NRP has achieved the electoral success it has achieved is the lack of a credible alternative. The Reform Party represent that real alternative, and we are confident that the electorate will reject the NRP government in 2846!

MessageOur educational policies were the first policies that we implemented, nearly 60 years ago. They have survived many worthy challengers in Telamon's history: the Democratic Socialists, the Democratic '99, etc. There won't be an election in 3846, there will be one next month. I'd start campaigning.

Message*wrong bill to comment on. Replace "educational" with "hiring" and it still works.*
